Modern Day Spiritual Battle Plan (Free Printable)

As a family we’ve been studying the Old Testament this year. I have thought a lot about how God was present for the Israelites.

We may not face literal giants or fearsome armies today like the Israelites did in the time of David,

But the challenges we do face can leave us feeling just as battle-worn.

David knew God would deliver them. He knew He would fight for them. And with that faith, as a youth, he slew the giant no seasoned soldier was brave enough to face.

David’s God is our God, and the same promises of deliverance are given to us as well.

No matter our type of challenge, there are various enemy thoughts we might come up against that can lessen our faith and cause us to be afraid to try to conquer.

As I considered some of these enemy thoughts, I found scriptures that prove God is with me and ready to fight for me—even today.

It’s kind of like my own little spiritual battle plan.

It’s my prayer that I’ll remember these promises no matter what I face, and move forward with Faith in Christ like the faithful men and women in scriptures of old.

And maybe, that you will too.

Spiritual Battle Plan

I tried to pick enemy thoughts that most every human has experienced at one point or another. Here’s the full list of the battle plan:

Most of the Bible verses are from the NIV, and there is one verse from The Book of Mormon as well. It’s the one that can help when we feel like we’ve messed up too many times, and it’s too late for us to change. I felt like it was the best scripture of all that I read to help us remember God’s willingness to forgive us each time we turn to Him. He shows us that with the children of Israel over and over again as they journeyed through the wilderness.

The Free Printable

Here are the details of this awesome free printable! You’ll get a PDF with the printable in two sizes: 4×6 and 2.5×4, so you have options for how to display the cards. Just print straight from your home computer, or send to a print shop for top quality!

Ways to Use the Spiritual Battle Plan

I put the smaller cards around a ring, thinking it would be nice to keep it in my car or for my kids to put in their backpacks as a constant reminder (may want to laminate in this case!).

The 4×6 cards I decided to hang on some twine in our living room. This is a place where we all walk by a million times a day, and where guests would easily be able to see it. These larger cards could also be displayed on an easel if you print on cardstock!

Okay! Just click the button below to get your free printable Spiritual Battle plan! Share with your friends, but please remember: this is for personal use only (don’t try to sell my stuff).
