I love my new logo. What’s it a logo for, you ask? Good question! For the last 2 years I have been dabbling in all sorts of things—searching for MY thing. The thing I’m passionate about and want to spend my time doing. I’m learning so much about myself along the way and have really enjoyed the process.

That being said, I’m still not quite there yet! 😆

But I do love this logo as a representation of my brand, even if my brand is just ME.

beauty from ashes

There’s a scripture in the Bible, Isaiah 61:3 that says:

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

I’ve had a few life experiences over the last 4 years that have felt like mourning and heaviness, but as I put my faith in the Lord, I truly felt as though He replaced it all with beauty. Beauty from ashes.

That’s a real thing you know. In fire prone areas, there are pine trees that produce cones literally glued together with a thick resin that protects the seeds during a wildfire. The heat from the wildfire melts the resin and what’s left behind are brand new pine tree seeds. Other types of trees produce seeds that NEED fire in order to actually wake up and begin germinating. Read more about this cool process here.

My point is, because of personal experience, I believe that God is capable of creating beauty from ashes. He is capable of making the ugliest parts of our lives catalysts for growth and opportunity.

That’s the message of my logo. A reminder that with God on our side, there’s no hard thing that can ever beat us.
