“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”

— Albert Einstein

This Einstein quote reminds me of the quote that goes something like, “in order to become the 1% you have to do what the 99% won’t.” Both quotes catch my attention because of the emphasis on work rather than born-with-it talent.

Don’t get me wrong, some people are definitely born with skills that make it so they don’t have to sit with the problems as long as the rest of us, but there is also room for those who lack natural talent but have a desire to excel.

When you encounter a difficult task, tackle a seemingly unachievable goal, or meet obstacles at every turn, and your brain tries to tell you to give up: just keep at it. Take the rush out of it and allow yourself to sit with the problem as long as it takes. Most people will give up at this point, but are you willing to sit with the problem for a bit? Every problem is figure-out-able if you give it time. You’ve got this.

As a Virtual Assistant I actually really want to help you reach those big hairy audacious business goals. I can take on the daily admin tasks so you can be free to sit with and figure out the challenges that come your way for as long as you need.
